'U is for Utility Jacket'
Also known as cargo jackets, Olive green utility jackets are all the rage this season. Although they are a classic Fall must, this year they are getting their spotlight as bloggers and fashionistas everywhere put their twist on them. I've seen flirty feminine women wear them, or tough as nails tomboys rock them with their ripped jeans and sneakers.

After finally completing my short list, and getting or buying every piece I developed a new one, and at the top of the list was a token utiity jacket. Any of my long time readers are probably a little confused seeing as I've already worn one a couple times, the one I got from Tommy Hilfiger outlet. After tons of articles and YouTube videos though, I set out to find one that was a little thicker, a little greener, and had a detachable hood. I was very quick to stumble upon one when I was walking around JCPenney one day and with a sale, a coupon, and a promo code...it came home with me for just $17.99! Now I can cross utility jacket off my list!
For this first look, I layered a summer lace dress over black tights and combat boots. I love to combination of light looking lace with the Army inspired boots like these. I often wear my combat boots with floral prints, but lace has the same effect and goes perfectly with the jacket. To cinch my waist even more, I tied the jacket before I put it on and kept it open to expose my dress to the fullest.

The next look is also very simple, just take your favorite dark denim and pair it with any navy striped top. Complete your look with nude flats to keep the focus up top, on your cute jacket. For this look though, I zipped up my jacket, and tied the drawstring as a belt, over the zipper. I also removed the hood to keep it casual.
